BIOGRAPHY

The ST. Catharines native started his hockey career with the St. Catharines Black Hawks, scoring 53 goals and being named to the OHL first all-star team in 1969-1970.

He went on to play 237 games in the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Atlanta Flames and Detroit Red Wings and 200 games in WHA with the Cleveland Crusaders and Minnesota Flying Saints.

In 1972-1973 with Pittsburgh, he scored 35 goals and 76 points. McDonough played in the NHL all-star in game in 1974.
