BIOGRAPHY

  • Played hockey for city teams under Vic Teal when whey won many championships.
  • Played lacrosse and baseball for city teams.
  • Played four years with St. Catharines TeePees.
  • Played on Memorial Cup team in 1954.
  • 1954-55, won the Red Tilson Memorial Trophy – voted the most outstanding player in Ontario, Junior A – 57 goals, 49 assists and 106 points.
  • 1954-55, won the Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy as leading scorer in Ontario Junior A.
  • Four years in the National Hockey League, including Chicago Blackhawks – 1955-57 and New York Rangers – 1957-1959.
  • Six years in the American Hockey League, including Rochester Americans – 1959-61; Cleveland Barons – 1961-63; Pittsburgh Hornets – 1963-64; and the Buffalo Bisons – 1964-65.
