Ken Hodgkins has been playing sports since he was a young man growing up on a farm in Jordan. His baseball
career spanned 42 years finally retiring from the sport at age 58 and hitting for a .300 average in his final season.
The accomplishments of his baseball career included winning the Canadian Senior Fastball Championship in
1968 with the St. Catharines Teepees, Junior & Senior Provincial Titles with the Old Guard Teepees and Ontario
Junior & Senior titles in Beamsville.
Not to be outdone on the diamond, Ken is also know for his hockey skills, did not start playing hockey formally
until the age of 19 in the Lincoln League where he won the scoring title that year. Ken went on to play
intermediate and senior ‘A’ hockey continues to play hockey here in St. Catharines in the over 45 pick up
league. Having given up baseball, Ken has taken up golf and sports a 12-handicap.
