Marg Schram was a St.Catharines area farm girl, who started playing Softball in Beamsville and has been a player and an executive all of her life. She played third base for the Ladies Fastener Sr. Softball team as well as she taught Physical Education at Connaught School. Schram organized the Girls Intramural Softball League and the summer Minor League which grew from 4 to 12 teams in 5 years. This league joined the Grantham Lions who now have 40 youth teams under the St.Catharines Ladies Softball League. Marg has served St. Catharines Womens softball in all capacities including Coach, President, Registrar, Convener and as Umpire in Chief. She has for the last 5 years been a member of the Provincial Womens Softball Association, Registrar for the last 2 years. In 1968 she became a Charter Member of the St. Catharines Sports Council. Marg is also a Youth Leader at the St. Giles Presbyterian Church.
