Marvin Edwards was born in 1934, and began playing hockey at an early age, winning several Ontario Minor Hockey titles. From 1950 to 1955 Edwards played five Jr. “A” O.H.A. Hockey seasons, during which time he was able to win the Memorial Cup in 1953/54 season, and the Memorial Cup in 1954/55 season while he was playing for the St. Catharines Teepees. Marvin also played professional hockey in many cities for a number of teams including; Chatham Maroons, Buffalo Bisons, Windsor Bulldogs, North Bay, Milwaukee Falcons, Minneapolis Millers, Johnstown Jets, New Haven Blades, Knoxville Knights, Nashville Dixie Flyers, Clinton Comets, Portland Buckaroos and the Canadian National Team. Marvin Edwards hockey career came to an end in his final season of 1973/74 when he played with the California Golden Seals in the N.H.L. After ending his professional hockey career Edwards continued to be heavily involved in hockey through coaching minor hockey schools.
