BIOGRAPHY

Norm Defelice started his hockey career from 1951-52 when he played for the Waterloo Hurricanes Junior, 1952-53 St. Catharines Tee Pees Junior A, and then 1953-54 Sydney Millionaires Maritime Major Hockey League. Norm was on a number of teams in the hockey league, playing for Johnston Jets International 1954, Hershey Bears American 1955, Boston Bruins National 1956, and the Springfield Indians American 1957. In 1957 while playing for the Clinton Comets EHL, Norm was loaned to the Washington Presidents EHL for the playoffs, where they won the Eastern Hockey League Championship for the Broadwalk trophy. Continuing to play on the Clinton Comets Eastern Hockey League from 1958-65, then switching to the New Jersey Devils Eastern Hockey League for 1965-67. Playing for the Gait Hornets OHA Senior League in 1967-68, and then coaching the Gait Hornets to the Allan Cup in 1970-71, after which time Norm retired from playing hockey professionally, and then from 1974-78 he scouted for the Winnipeg Jets World Hockey Association.
