BIOGRAPHY

  • Recognized as one of the city’s finest fastball pitchers with a rising curve pitch clocked at 103 km per hour.
  • 1975 League pitching leader of 10-0, 120 strikeouts, hitting just under .300 at the plate.
  • 1974, 1975, 1979 while playing with Reg’s Roofing was the Intermediate Fast ball League Number One Playoff Pitcher with a combined record of 13-1.
  • 1980 – career record 39-24 with 13 playoff wins, held the Industrial League record with 16 consecutive victories.
  • 1981 – named St. Catharines Mr. Softball.
  • Coached local fastball and hockey teams.
  • Early 1980’s held four charity ball games, Papineau family versus St. Catharines Media, raised over $25,000 for Niagara Penninsula Children’s Centre.
  • 1986 inducted into the Standard – St. Catharines Intermediate Softball League Hall of Fame.
  • Timekeeper for Junior B. Falcons and St. Catharines Saints.
