Tim Rigby although he did not row himself, promoted rowing for over thirty years. He began promoting rowing in the 1960’s as a ticket salesman for the North American Championships. In 1971-1972 he was the last president of the Henley Aquatic Association and the first President of its successor the Canadian Henley Rowing Corporation. In addition Tim was the secretary of the St. Catharines Rowing Club, and founder of the Ridley Boat Club. Tim was also the Co-Chairman of the 1999 World Rowing Championships that were held in St. Catharines. Over the thirty plus years that Tim has been promoting rowing he has been able to hold a number of positions to assist in the promotion and the administration involved in holding rowing events, making Tim an instrumental contributor to the sport.
