BIOGRAPHY

Walter McCollum was involved in numerous sports. Before St. Catharines even had arenas, he was outside playing hockey on the ice. He also played Lacrosse for the St. Catharines Minor League. Although he didn’t play much he was very involved in the sporting world as a builder. He was Director of the St. Catharines Teepees O.H.A. Jr. “A”, a Shareholder in Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club and Originator (with friends), of the Niagara District Champion of Champions, Golf Tournament (which is the largest and longest running tournament of its kind in Canada). He is also the Chairman of Niagara District Champion of Champions Tournament (30 years) and Vice-Chairman, for the Niagara District Champion of Champions Golf Tournament. He was also a past Director for the Ontario Golf Association (O.G.A.)
